About us

About Nysa

At Nysa, we believe everyone deserves to feel welcome, safe, and included when experiencing live events, festivals, and attractions.

Born from lived experience, Nysa was created to make events more accessible for neurodivergent individuals and anyone who may find busy environments overwhelming. Our work centres on building calm, sensory-safe solutions that help every visitor feel confident and supported—without missing out on the moments that matter.

Our Mission

To transform events and venues into spaces that don’t just accommodate difference, but celebrate it.

What We Do

Sensory Maps – helping visitors prepare and navigate with confidence by highlighting sensory factors across your venue or event.

Accessibility Guides – providing clear, visitor-friendly walkthroughs that set new standards for inclusion.

Sensory Spaces – calm reset zones designed to support wellbeing and provide a safe place to recharge.

Consultancy – working alongside organisers to embed accessibility into planning, design, and delivery.

Why ‘Nysa’?

The name ‘Nysa’ comes from Greek mythology. It was said to be a hidden sanctuary — a place of healing, transformation, and protection. The god Dionysus was raised there, safe from danger, free to grow.

That’s what we’re building: a space to be. Calm, creative, and inclusive — even in the middle of the noise.

What Makes Us Different

We’re neurodivergent-led, and everything we do is based on real-life experience — not just checkbox inclusion.

We’re building something new: a future where events & festivals don’t just accommodate difference, they celebrate it.
